NORD Holding is investing in ABJ alive GmbH based in Creußen as part of an owner buy-out. Founder Anna-Bettina Jürges remains involved in the company and will support the company's development from the Advisory Board in the future. Together with ABJ, NORD Holding is planning a European growth strategy in the area of contract manufacturing for premium nutritional supplements.

ABJ is a leading contract manufacturer and development partner (CDMO) for fast-growing and innovative companies in the field of natural nutritional supplements. The product focus is on hard capsules and the filling of solid dosage forms (soft gel capsules, fruit gums, loose powder and granules). The company is a quality provider of complex formulations of herbal and probiotic raw materials and thus occupies a leading position in a rapidly growing market segment. In the future, ABJ's growth is to be continued, in particular through capacity expansion and an expansion of the range of products and services.

The investment was supported by the NORD Holding Healthcare team at the beginning of February 2024 and underlines sector expertise in healthcare and B2B contract manufacturing, following a participation in this segment with hg medical already achieved in 2023. On the part of NORD Holding, the transaction was implemented by André Seidel, David Wössner, Moritz Stolp and Kim Steinbart.
