NORD Holding actively contributes to environmental protection and the fight against climate change with a variety of measures. In addition to gradually reducing our CO2-Footprints by 2030, we are involved in many international initiatives and projects.

NORD Holding Stiftung e. V. supports selected social projects in the Hanover region, in particular organizations for people in need. In addition, we follow Women's Empowerment Principles and thus contribute to promoting gender equality.
Governance
Our management principles are based on transparency, responsibility and integrity - values that are also important to us in our portfolio companies. As a sponsor of Level 20, we also support the increased representation of women in the Private Equity sector.

Information on incorporating sustainability risks into investment decisions
The EU Disclosure Regulation for Sustainability-Related Disclosure Requirements in the Financial Services Sector (“SFDR”) has been in force since March 2021. The SFDR requires financial market participants such as NORD Holding to publish information on their strategies for incorporating sustainability risks into their investment decision processes.
Failure to take into account adverse effects of the investment decision on sustainability factors (Article 4 EU Disclosure Regulation)
Sustainability factors include environmental, social and employee concerns, respect for human rights and the fight against corruption and bribery. NORD Holding manages investment funds that invest in portfolio companies in the industrial, trade and services sectors. NORD Holding recognizes the great importance of taking into account, reducing or avoiding adverse effects on sustainability factors of investment decisions. However, collecting data from portfolio companies and providing them with them is still very difficult, as portfolio companies are often not yet subject to sustainability reporting requirements themselves. In addition, NORD Holding's influence on portfolio companies is very limited in many cases. As a result, the indicators for an annual quantitative disclosure of the adverse effects of investment decisions on sustainability factors are not yet available to a sufficient extent and of sufficient quality or reliability. NORD Holding therefore does not take into account the adverse effects of its investment decisions on sustainability factors. With regard to individual investment funds (product-related), NORD Holding is examining whether the adverse effects on sustainability factors can be taken into account as a binding part of the investment strategy in individual cases. In this case, the information will be disclosed in pre-contractual information, in annual reports and on the website, in accordance with Article 7 of the EU Disclosure Regulation. NORD Holding will also constantly check (including through active retrieval of data) whether, through continuous improvement of the data situation, the adverse effects of the investment decision on sustainability factors can be taken into account at company level in the future.
Information on the integration of sustainability risks into remuneration policy
NORD Holding's compensation policy was developed to support responsibility, transparency, accountability, performance and a motivating and trusting culture.
As NORD Holding, we are aware of our responsibility as an investment company. Responsible and ethical conduct is paramount for us and our employees.
We calculate our CO2 footprint every year with the help of a partner (Verso) in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. In doing so, we are constantly trying to reduce our own footprint and offset it by acquiring voluntary emission certificates. The emissions of our portfolio companies are measured separately and are not part of our footprint.
